For more than 167 years, the Minneapolis Athenaeum has served as a steward of books, ideas, history, and lifelong learning. Today, we stand at a remarkable moment in our history.

Following several years of organizational renewal, the Athenaeum has rebuilt its governance, restored financial compliance, strengthened partnerships, expanded programming, and is preparing to welcome the first Executive Director in our organization's history.

This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven leader to help shape the future of one of Minnesota's oldest cultural institutions.

Working closely with an engaged Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead fundraising efforts, cultivate community partnerships, oversee day-to-day operations, support strategic planning, and champion the Athenaeum's mission while honoring its remarkable legacy.
